Job Title: Construction Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
▪ Design electrical systems for construction projects, including power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.
▪ Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
▪ Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
▪ Review and approve subcontractor proposals and shop drawings related to electrical work.
▪ Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
▪ Conduct site visits to assess electrical requirements and resolve construction issues.
▪ Perform calculations and simulations to optimize electrical system performance and efficiency.
▪ Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams on-site.
▪ Collaborate with project managers to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
▪ Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering and construction technology.
Qualifications:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
▪ Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
▪ Proven experience in electrical design and construction projects.
▪ Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP.
▪ Strong understanding of electrical systems and building codes.
▪ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
▪ Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
▪ Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
▪ Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
▪ Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Experience:
▪ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in construction.
▪ Demonstrated ability to design and manage electrical systems for construction projects.
▪ Experience with power distribution, lighting, and communication system design.
▪ Familiarity with construction project management processes and practices.
▪ Knowledge of sustainability and energy-efficient design principles is advantageous.
