Safety Managers

Responsible for implementing and enforcing safety

policies, procedures, and regulations on construction sites. They conduct

safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety training programs to ensure a

safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.

 

Job Title: Construction Safety Manager

Responsibilities:

▪ Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs for construction sites.

▪ Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and assess risks.

▪ Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards.

▪ Provide safety training and orientation to construction workers and subcontractors.

▪ Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions.

▪ Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.

▪ Collaborate with project managers and site managers to address safety concerns.

▪ Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote awareness and best practices.

▪ Monitor and enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

▪ Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction safety.

 

Qualifications:

▪ Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, or related field.

▪ Professional certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., CSP, CHST) preferred.

▪ Proven experience as a safety manager or similar role in the construction industry.

▪ Thorough knowledge of construction safety regulations, codes, and standards.

▪ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.

▪ Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

▪ Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office suite.

▪ Ability to conduct safety training and facilitate meetings effectively.

▪ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

▪ Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

 

Experience:

▪ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction safety management.

▪ Demonstrated success in implementing safety programs and reducing incidents on construction sites.

▪ Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

▪ Familiarity with behavioral safety principles and safety culture improvement initiatives.

▪ Track record of maintaining safety records and documentation in compliance with regulations.

8 hour shift (8am – 5pm office / 7am – 4pm jobsite)

 

Ability to commute/relocate

Under company assignment: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
