Responsible for inspecting construction
work to ensure that it meets quality standards, specifications, and regulatory
requirements. They conduct quality inspections, tests, and audits throughout
the construction process to identify and address any defects or
non-conformities.
Job Title: Construction Quality Control Inspector
Responsibilities:
▪ Conduct inspections of construction materials, workmanship, and completed installations.
▪ Ensure compliance with project specifications, plans, and quality standards.
▪ Perform visual and physical inspections of construction sites and components.
▪ Document and report non-conformities, defects, and deficiencies.
▪ Verify measurements, dimensions, and quantities of materials and installations.
▪ Monitor and inspect construction activities to prevent defects and errors.
▪ Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
▪ Conduct pre-construction and pre-installation meetings to review quality requirements.
▪ Review subcontractor quality control plans and documentation.
▪ Provide feedback and recommendations for improving quality processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
▪ High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications preferred.
▪ Proven experience as a construction quality control inspector or similar role.
▪ Thorough knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
▪ Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
▪ Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and deficiencies.
▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
▪ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
▪ Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
▪ Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
▪ Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Experience:
▪ Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in construction quality control inspection.
▪ Demonstrated success in identifying and resolving quality issues on construction projects.
▪ Experience conducting inspections of various construction trades and disciplines.
▪ Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation requirements.
▪ Track record of maintaining accurate inspection records and reports.
