Job Title: Construction Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities:
▪ Design mechanical systems for construction projects, such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
▪ Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
▪ Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders.
▪ Conduct site visits to assess mechanical requirements and resolve construction issues.
▪ Review and approve subcontractor proposals and shop drawings.
▪ Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
▪ Perform calculations and simulations to optimize mechanical system performance.
▪ Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams on-site.
▪ Collaborate with project managers to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
▪ Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
▪ Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
▪ Proven experience in mechanical design and construction projects.
▪ Proficiency in engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software.
▪ Strong understanding of mechanical systems and building codes.
▪ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
▪ Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
▪ Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
▪ Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
▪ Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Experience:
▪ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in construction.
▪ Demonstrated ability to design and manage mechanical systems for construction projects.
▪ Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design.
▪ Familiarity with construction project management processes and practices.
▪ Knowledge of sustainability and energy-efficient design principles is a plus.
